Top 5 gold ETFs by 3-year CAGR returns: UTI Gold ETF tops the chart
The average 3-year CAGR among the top five gold ETFs was 35.9%. See how the top fund performed.

The three-year CAGR return chart for the gold ETF category is led by UTI Gold ETF, which delivered 36.2 percent. Aditya Birla SL Gold ETF and ICICI Pru Gold ETF occupy the next two positions with returns of 35.8 percent and 35.8 percent, respectively, according to ACE MF data on August 14.
The ranking considers only schemes with assets under management of at least Rs 1,500 crore. Among the top five funds that meet this criterion, ICICI Pru Gold ETF has the largest corpus at Rs 25,821.8 crore.
The benchmark comparison is also important. UTI Gold ETF was ahead of its benchmark by 34.5 percentage points on a three-year basis, with the benchmark returning 1.7%. It was also ahead of its benchmark by 40.9 percentage points on a one-year basis, with the benchmark returning 10.1%.
There is no change at the top when the one-month window is considered. UTI Gold ETF remains ahead with 7.4 percent.
The order changes on a three-month basis. Aditya Birla SL Gold ETF delivered the strongest return among these five schemes at -5.5 percent.
The lead does not change on a one-year basis either. UTI Gold ETF also tops this comparison with a return of 51.0 percent.
Return rankings across mutual funds can shift when the comparison window changes. This makes it useful to read the headline return along with shorter and longer return periods.
