US economy added 115K jobs in April, unemployment rate remained at 4.3%
The U.S. economy added 115,000 jobs in April and the unemployment rate remained at 4.3%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ report Friday.
Both measures have changed little over the year, the bureau also reported.
The jobs gain was larger than the 65,000 economists predicted but was less than the 185,000 created in March, according to CNN.
The gains were in health care, transportation and warehousing, and retail trade, while federal government
employment continued to decline, also according to the bureau.
