UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund leads nifty index mutual funds in three-month returns; delivers 5.4% gain
UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund delivered 5.4% returns over the last three months and 9.0% CAGR over three years, according to ACE MF data on June 29.

UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund currently leads the nifty index mutual fund category with a three-month return of 5.4 percent. It is followed by Navi Nifty 50 Index Fund and Nippon India Index Fund-Nifty 50 Plan, which delivered returns of 5.3 percent and 5.3 percent, respectively, over the same period, according to ACE MF data on June 29.
The ranking considers only schemes with assets under management of at least Rs 1,500 crore. Among the top five funds that meet this criterion, UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund has the largest corpus at Rs 27,826.9 crore.
The benchmark comparison is also important. UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund trailed its benchmark by 0.3 percentage points on a one-year basis, with the benchmark returning -5.5%. It was also trailed its benchmark by 0.4 percentage points on a three-year basis, with the benchmark returning 9.3%.
The six-month return table also has UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund in front, with the fund delivering -7.3 percent.
The same scheme also stays ahead on the one-year return chart. UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund delivered -5.8 percent over this period.
There is no change at the top when the three-year window is considered. UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund remains ahead with 9.0 percent.
The variation across return windows shows why rankings can look different depending on the period being considered. A short-term leader may not always be the same as the fund that has done well over a longer horizon.
