Wall Street opens lower after record numbers
After new record closes for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq on Wednesday, US shares are taking a bit of a breather at the tells. An apparent stalemate between the US and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz has been pushing up crude prices and apparently injecting a bit of caution on Wall Street. However, Gus Scacco, Senior Portfolio Manager at Advisors Capital Management in New Jersey, explains that despite recent volatility and a risky geopolitical environment, market numbers are looking positive, including earnings reports, the volatility index, and consumer travel data.
