THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Wednesday said some 224 stock-keeping units (SKUs) of basic necessities and prime commodities (BNPCs) have complied with their suggested retail prices during a monitoring visit to the Guadalupe Market in Makati.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Federal Reserve cut its key interest rate Wednesday for a second time this year as it seeks to shore up economic growth and hiring even as inflation stays elevated.
“Job gains have slowed this year, and the unemployment rate has edged up but remained low through August,” the Fed said in a statement issued Wednesday.

The Federal Reserve announced that it slashed interest rates for the second time this year amid rising unemployment and increasing inflation.
The Federal Open Market Committee released its statement on Wednesday saying that it would slash interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point.
